Mikey Mantello of the North Edmonton Red Wings has been selected as the Capital Junior Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2017/18 Season. Mikey led the League in scoring with 52 Goals, 28 Assists and 98 Points.

The Rookie of the Year Award was captured by Shaye Sommerfeld of the Wetaskiwin Icemen. Shaye led the League in Rookie Scoring with 24 Goals and 24 Assists.

Caleb McGillis of the North Edmonton Red Wings was selected the Most Sportsmanlike Player. In 38 Games Caleb registered 28 Goals and 31 Assists while incurring only 2 Penalty Minutes.

Duncan Milroy of the Beverly Warriors was selected Coach of the Year by his fellow Coaches in the Capital Junior Hockey League.

The Goaltenders Award will be shared by the Wetaskiwin Icemen (Joey Desrosiers – Dahlin Supernault) and Beverly Warriors (Chase Mudryk – Adam Holowach) as both teams allowed 100 Goals Against during the season.

Selected to the First All Star Team were Mikey Mantello, North Edmonton Red Wings; Jacob Mandrusiak, North Edmonton Red Wings; Brett Dubuc, Morinville Jets; Kona Jackson, Wetaskiwin Icemen; Travis Racic, North Edmonton Red Wings and Chase Mudryk, Beverly Warriors.

Selected to the Second All Star Team were Liam Gregor, Beaumont Chiefs; Zach Eastcott, North Edmonton Red Wings; Brendan Klutke, Edmonton Royals; Jacob Cardinal, Beverly Warriors; Mason Younger, Fort Saskatchewan Hawks and Dahlin Supernault, Wetaskiwin Icemen.
