The Wetaskiwin Icemen captured their 2nd straight CJHL with a 5-2 win over the Beverly Warriors. Led by Shaye Sommerfield's 2 goals, including the game winner, the Icemen take the best of 5 series 3-0. Both teams will now travel up to Fort St. John B.C. for the provincials, which will be played March 29th to April 1st. Good luck to both teams!! Message from the League President: Another exciting CJHL season has come to an end. It has been a steep learning curve in my first year, but has been made a lot easier with the help of my executive members. My thanks to Larry Davis, who has the thankless job as league disciplinarian. Kerri Bishop, our secretary treasurer, who keeps all the finances in order. Glenn Worrell and Keith Schultz, our Directors at Large, who have both stepped in to help the league run smoothly. Duane Speare, league statistician, who enters the game stats within hours of receiving them. And Jim McAuley, past president, who was there to guide me through any rough patches I encountered. I would also like to thank all the team coaches and management, players, referees, and fans. Without you there is no league!! Lastly, I would like to wish good luck to all the overage players. Hopefully, you will look back on your CJHL career and remember it fondly. Larry Lepine CJHL President
